15 Days of Screenshots: Day 9: Your Character's Hometown
We all have the same starting zones where we begin our various quests, but where does your character actually hail from?
That is an interesting question, especially since it wouldn't exist in game. Makes me envy the mages that just say "I'm from Dalaran".
Alexia comes from Lordaeron, a small town by the name of Shadowglen. With a population of around 50 with its 4 peasant families, the nobles, and guards it was growing steadily. But fairly peaceful small town near the gates of Quel'Thalas it became a haven for the scourge forces.
With four peasant families it was prosperous and growing steadily under Lord Silverhart's family.

She tasks me and I shall gladly answer
Over at fallingleavesandwing there was a comment about Windsoar of Jadedalt giving out topics for bloggers. Out of curiosity I dropped her a line and she was willing to work one up.
I noticed that you’ve rerolled some characters more than once (priest/hunter/paladin). If it wasn’t for giggles (i.e. to play with friends/on another server) why did you choose to do so? -Windwoar
I really have to stop being so fashionably late to these things. Ah Ill just pin the blame on Comcast, it makes them good for something. Anyway - on with the show!

RP Locations - Ogrimar
Orgrimmar has so many fun places to gather that its hard to pick just one. So with the helpful assistance of Deepvein the goblin (for only a small fee) here are three linked places that really bring a variety of Roleplay into Doomhammer's namesake.
Faction: Horde
Zone: Orgrimmar
Sub Zone: Orgrimmar and the Valley of Honor
Special Notes: The first location can only be gotten to by flying, the second via the bridge from the zeppelin station, and the third by walking into the valley of honor.

RP Locations - Darnassus
| Location 40 33 |
Zone: Darnassus
Sub Zone: Cenarion Enclave
Special Notes: Hidden is plain sight.
RP Locations - The Exodar
A quick note, for those who have already sucked in their breath to start complaining how far the Exodar is - No its not. You take the Stormwind boat to Darnassus. Then you have a choice to teleport into the city and use the portal int he Temple of the Moon to teleport STRAIGHT THERE or you can wait a couple f minutes for the boat to deliver you to the outside of the city. Its no less convenient than reaching Ironforge from Stormwind though I do have to say some people have trouble with that. Anyway on with the show..
Faction: Alliance
Zone: Iron Forge
Sub Zone: Trader's Teir
Special Notes: There are stairs that lead to a ramp inside the Exodar wall.

A little experiment - RP Locations
Trying out an idea for a write up for neat/out of the way places to RP. What do you think?

No wedding OMG! (WTF?)
Over on Battlenet forums they were babbling about 'Thrall's Wedding' and Bashiok (One of the Bliz posters) upset some people by a comment.
Correct. Their pledging of their lives to one another was essentially their 'wedding', although I'm sure Orcs don't use such nomenclature to refer to these things. Maybe 'life bond' fits better.
Posted by VynnyActually...I'm pretty sure what you saw counted as the 'wedding'. Things work differently in orc society.

Shattered Lore
I enjoyed doing every quest and exploring Azeroth in depth. Coming to know it as well as any fictional world I'd adventured in. But Cataclysm changed that.
Im not speaking of the things I've complained about before, the unoriginal rip off quests and jokes, but they also have launched Warcraft as a 'multimedia platform game'. Want to know what happened to the Nightmare? better read the book. What happened with the worgen? Get the comic. What the heck is up with the faction leaders? Time to read the wow homepage. Its made the game unknowable except to a few dedicated or obsessed fans with lots of expendable income. The more they do this the more disconnected people will feel with whats going on in game and the less involved with their characters.
Its only going to get worse as they bring in characters from these books and expect everyone to be excited because of the stories they told elsewhere. With the tantrum thrown over Magister's Terrace and the Sunwell I thought they had learned from their mistakes but its repeating again.
