I've been not having a lot of fun in Warcraft lately.  Its not the people Im with, or the fights, or the quests or bugs.  I couldn't figure out what was going on till I read Cynwise's posts and it crystallized my thoughts.

It was my class.

I've been playing Warcraft for a long time and I'm used to no matter what being able to excel.  Draw up a plan, find the gear, top the charts.  But for the first time there isn't a way for me to reach that goal.  Not only that but its harder for me to even reach average perfomance.

Blizzard Mists of Pandaria Beta Fail

When Blizzard announced they would offer you beta access I was excited.  I was willing to put my money where my mouth was and try their expansion and hopefully make it better instead of just complaining about bad stuff.

When blizzard kept the offer open I figured they hadn't met their goal in players.  Only to find out there were thousands subscribed and it was just going up..and up.

LFG - Pants on Head Ponies

Tanking is a strange and mysterious beast now.

The culture of world of Warcraft has been infected with the randomness/anonymity of the internet and that has really caused trouble.  In an effor to try and get used to this I picked up my 70 Dwarf Paladin, got geared up, and sent into the Wrath instances.  After 5 runs Im now 71 and boy...ponies..
So lets start in order.

Round One, Fight!
Theres a Death Knight DPS who is a level higher than me, but has such lousy gear hes only doing half my damage.  After someone pointed that out he starts taunting mobs off me and then complaining im not holding agro.  We aren't talking about being subtle ether, in one fight he was running away from me  and pulling the mob after him when I taunted it.

Verdict: Kicked, added to ignore.  Bonus points for kicking him just before the final boss.

FAIL GROUP

...and its a doozy.  

We are in Blackrock Caverns, level 80 Cata zone, and I'm healing on my druid.  Things are going smoothly till the tank gets all excited cause he took 70k+ in damage.  This is because of Gravity Strike something I expect tanks, dps. healers...everyone to know has to be interrupted.

Fail Group or why 13 year olds shouldn't play WoW

Players from the 'Horde taste better' horde guild on Kalecgos were out to prove what total douches they were.  At the start of the group the tank and DPS complain how one of their guildies wanted to come to Z'A.  They drag their feat starting the run but things seem fine once we get going.  Till they kicked the healer, replaced her with a melee DPS and wiped the group till the PuG DPS left to replace the healer.


Seriously, I have so wonder what passes through the tiny little things some people call minds.  I cant think its much.

LFG Nerd Rage!

So I haven't done a post about PuGs in a bit.  Since Blizzard loves to talk about how their improving them sooooo much I think its time to let a little hot air out of that balloon.

EPIC FAIL!

I knew the strangely nice DPS who just did their jobs and did it well couldn't last.

So we go in the door, buffs are swapped, the healer changes specs and the tank pauses.  Now theres any number of reasons she could of done it.  But what comes out of the rogues mouth a heartbeat later?

*Shakes fist at the sky*

EPIC FAIL!

So we enter Blackrock, depths to be specific, and the tank runs off.  The group tags along behind by a fair bit.  I was there just in time to see him pull 2 groups, or roughly 14 enemies, with 3-4 healers all together.  Now AoE stops being really useful at 10 enemies so what follows is chaos.  I am there as a shadow priest so

I PuG a fair bit and I keep running into so many failures at playing I figured Id go ahead and post the best ones here each week as Epic Fail posts.  Both to vent and so others can laugh at the Laurel and Hardy stupidity.

EPIC FAIL!

I'm in Blackfathom Deeps, a level 20-25 dungeon on my 25 hunter, and the druid tank zones into it in cat form.  he doesn't talk, emote, or communicate at all.  hes just 22 so hes at risk of his life when they hit him and cant hold agro worth a darn.  So I get my bear pet out and the warlock his VW and we manage to muddle through till we can kick this loo loo 15 min in.
