Then and Now

Over at Manalicious Vidyala has an interesting idea, to compare old screen shots with new.  So I figured Id do it with my first little WoW girl.  Well sort of the first.

Liri now 2012:
I actually rolled Liri as a druid first then read how druid fighting sucked, tanking sucked, and healing was meh only good in raids in combination with other healers.  But priests were amazing so she rerolled at the tender level of 8.

The Fatal Flaw(s) of Ulduar

I've been listening to the discussion of what is good and bad raid design and people are constantly referencing Ulduar as the top of good raid design.  Lore on The Weekly Marmot says he thinks of Blackwing Lair with nostalgia clouding his judgement, I think this is true for Ulduar as well.  Here is the info on Ulduar on Battlenet and Wowhead.

So, what was so bad about it?  Glad you asked!

The Raid Browser's Fatal Flaw

One of the often overlooked featured of Warcraft since it was introduced is the 'Looking For Raid' browser to help with setting up PuG raids/filling in slots, etc.

When it came out in Wrath many raiders (Myself included) were excited to give it a try.  But we ran flat into a wall.
