Lunar festival is Here!

at 2 am January 22nd the Lunar Festival kicks off in Azeroth.  So whats new in our Chinese inspired holiday?  Nine new elders with the Elders of Cataclysm achievement and a new pet!  I think its a pitty the achievement didnt get a workover like Hallowseve did but we can hope its in the future.

Warcraft's blog post 'Moons + Explosives = Lunar Festival!' gives you an idea of why its a party.  Sometimes a little bit of context can make things a lot more fun.

So, what is there to do in the Festival?

The Grinch Round Two

So it was brought to my attention that the Greench fight was a bit harder than I let on.  So this morning I took one of my tougher characters to test it out solo.

Hópe - level 85 Enhancement  Shaman IL 365.

With all the tricks and tools a shaman has she can really work wonders being the first character I played that could solo Problem and deal with other difficulties the game tosses at me.

The result?

Winter Veil Tricks

Here is an old trick you might not think of with Winter Veil.  Hardly overpowered but amusing.

Under the tree by Greatfather winter you will find presents for you to open.

The trick is to NOT open them.  Then you can bank them and use whats within later in the year.  But how do you know if you want to wait?  Well, if you aren't going to use wowhead to look them all up you just have to open it without looting.
