Transmog, Hero of the Light

For the most part I try and make transmog sets something that isnt too difficult to work on.  For this set though your going to have to work.

So I bring you the Hero of the Light!

That just screams paladin doesnt it?  Now lets look at how you get it.



Most of the outfit is the Lawbringer set from Molten Core.  The bosses are easily soloable now and the belt is a BoE from that raid.  Id suggest not buying the belt till you finish killing things in molten core as the BoE are fairly common drops.

So as we're killing Golemagg, Lucifron, Magmadar, and Gehennas in Molten Core for the Chest, Legs, Boots, and Gloves (and snagging the belt on the AH or while doing it) we need to visit the Auchenai Crypts on Heroic and smash the evil Exarch Maladaar for his Light-Touched Stole of Altruism.  It gets bonus points for the name being especially paladin as well as the white and gold goodness of its looks.

The shield is the Crystal Pulse Shield and its a BoE world drop making it possibly quite hard to get a hold of.  As an alternative Id suggest the Sunward Crest from the Shattered Sun Offensive rep.  All you need to do is get exalted to get one!

So in addition to Molten Core, AC, and rep grinding we need to grind for the blade.  It is the famous Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight.  Coming from Black Wing lair it isn't able to be easily soloed to because of the mechanics of the first boss.  So get 2-3 of your friends or hired mercenaries and have some fun.

We have a third raid instance to stick our heads into - The Black Temple!  The floating crown and glowing shoulders both come from that tier set.  The rest of the set has blues and hadly looks like they go together but with the Lawbringer they really work and do a great job at fixing the banana shoulder problem.  I hope you kept your underlings well paid because their going to be needed here too.  Mother Shahraz is your target and BT had some punishing gimmicks.  You need a dispeller and interrupter for the Reliquary of the Lost and heavy dps for Teron Gorefiend.  But if you persist you will get your Pauldrons of the Forgotten Conqueror from her to buy your shoulders.

Our fourth and final raid is Hyjal Summit.  It can be soloable but really your better off with at least one other person.  Were pushing all the way to the end and killing Archimonde for our Helm of the Forgotten Conqueror token to buy our helm.

So besides the Formal White Shirt there is one finishing touch - a tabard!  The Argent Crusader's Tabard really goes witht he colors, gives a teleport to Northrend, and shows your allegiance to Tirion Fordring.  All you have to do is unlock the special Crusader's Quartermaster by becoming an Exalted Argent Champion in the Argent Tournament.

So its 4 raids, a heroic, two faction grinds, and a tailor worth of lookin good.  Good luck and have fun!
