Transmog: Skylord (Mog Madness 3)

So I received a really unusual email yesterday.  I got a callback.

[Jimmy] "We got the client here, we looked at your tape, and we think we might have a real "Hercules goes bananas" angle on this. So we want you to come back in."
[Kirk] "Come back in?"
[Jimmy] "It's a call-back."
[Kirk] I had always heard about call-backs, but I had never gotten one!
(I <3 Hoodwinked)

Seems one of the other finalists had dropped out and they asked me to come and do an outfit after all.  I have to admit I'm a bit conflicted but I agreed.

So I give you, The Skylord and Skylady!

There is a slight difference between the sets besides the weapons.

Can you pick it out?
The goal of the contest was to match the shoulders, but the shoulders are a tier piece.  The male is actually wearing the recolor that matches the tier.  While the colors are more exacting I prefer the vibrant blues of the one the female is wearing.  So lets break this down.

The shoulders are The Wavemender's Mantle and the focus of round three dropping in Black Temple.

The Flesh Handler's Headpiece  (What a name!) comes from a Netherstorm quest.

The Blue Workman's Shirt can be made by any tailor familiar with Northrend patterns.

The Golden Links of Restoration come from the Hyjal Summit raid.

The Infection Resistant Legguards (Male Dwarf) come from the  Drak'Tharon Keep Dungeon.
The Frozen Forest Kilt (Female Dwarf) comes from the Nexus dungeon.

The Outrunner's Slippers are a world drop BoE best found on the AH.  They let a shaman keep in touch with the earth and let the set easily be used by those who dont like their foots covered and the hoofed.

The Benefactor's Gauntlets are a BoE drop from the 25 man Naxxramas raid.

Hm, the mods and sites I was using to fast info showed me the fist weapons shes using. but ow that I look up the link I remember their the ones they never implimented...sighs.

His mace is the Last Word from Icecrown Citadel 25.

His shield is the Wrathful Gladiator's Barrier purchasable with a bit of honor.

One interesting thing about this set is it NOT a shaman only set.  So you can pick it up and wear it as a hunter for RP reasons or just to make those glancing at you misjudge your abilities.
Happy hunting!

From left to right
Rifle of the Platinum Guard from Ulduar.
Crypt Fiend's Slayer in the Halls of Reflection
Steelhawk Crossbow from Karazhan.

  1. I love the Hoodwinked reference! Not as much as the outfit mind you, but that should still say something!
